Midnight Feasts: Tasty Poems Chosen By…

This poetry anthology, released in October 2019, is filled with poems about food and drink, written by some of the finest poets writing today, collected together and organised into a book by A.F. Harrold, and illustrated throughout in full colour by Katy Riddell.

Read Matt Harvey writing about bread, Jude Simpson on crisps and custard, Angela Topping and Roger Stevens on lemons, Christopher Reid on salad, Ian McMillan on soup, Choman Hardi talking about a special apple, Caroline Bird on the trouble caused by the humble turnip, Imtiaz Dharker on yoghurt, Moniza Alvi on spice, Joanne Limburg on spuds, Daniel Cockrill on gravy, Kat Francois on bath-time feasting, Salena Godden and Joseph Coelho on the treasures of the hedgerows, Lorraine Mariner thinking about fortune cookies, Mike Barfield on rock cakes, Sabrina Mahfouz singing the joys of the pomegranate, Nick Toczek contemplating the good luck of a full larder and many more poets and poems, old and new, funny and thoughtful… all of them delicious and mouth-watering.

Shortlisted for the North Somerset Teachers’ Book Award (2020) and the CLiPPA (2020).

The book is a full-colour 120 page hardback and costs £14.99 in the shops, but can buy a signed copy from me for £14.00 (including UK postage and packing).
